Don't know if the title made sense.

We are flying from Brisbane to Singapore on EK433

We have a QANTAS flight from Melbourne to Brisbane a few hours before.

Can we use the Emirates Lounge at Melbourne Airport, even though we don't board an Emirates plane until we get to Brisbane?

Cheers in advance!

No, as your QF flight from MEL departs from the domestic terminal T1 but the EK lounge is located in the international terminal T2 past immigration...

@chodo you don;t say under what classification you would have lounge access.

If you are Qantas/Emirates Platinum or are travelling international Business or First from BNE to SIN or domestic Business MEL to BNE then you would have access to the MEL Domestic Business Lounge before your QF flight.

Lounge Location | Australia | Melbourne Domestic | Domestic Business

Otherwise, if you are Qantas/Emirates, then you would have access to the Melbourne Qantas Club.

The Qantas Club | Lounge Locations | Australia | Melbourne Domestic

Depending on time, you can also turn this into a lounge run and make a quick stop at the QF lounges in BNE, both domestic and international, so you can better appreciate the EK lounge...

Thanks for the tips. We have 5 hours in Brisbane so we might just check out the Qantas lounges as I believe the Emirates lounge won’t open until 11:30pm
