Hi guys
Does anyone know how long prior to departure VA platinum and/or the Business have access to the Emirates lounge in LAX. We are tossing up what time to arrive from our connecting flight as there are some reasonable cost savings if we arrive on an earlier flight but don't want to be stuck in LAX airport for 10h with a family of 4 :S.
Thanks
J

The lounge does not open for VA PAX until 5pm.

If you are on VA24 to MEL this gives up to 2.5 hours effective use.

At the other end of the scale, if you are on VA8 to BNE this give up to 5 hours effective use.

Maybe look into one of the hotels nearby for day use?

We entered as they opened at exactly 5pm. We were on VA2 at 11:55. They offered us showers, couches to lie on and insisted we eat a full meal. One kind staff member even noticed I had dozed off - she brought a blanket and lay it over me while I slept.

One of the most exquisite airport Lounges I have ever experienced.
