Hey Guys,

So since Qantas followed the budget airlines and started charging for Seat allocation, Is there certain times better than others during the web checkin period where you can get a better choice of seats. At times I have noticed that if i check in when the option first comes available there may be a few seats i can choose from and then sometimes if i go back and take a look at the seats again at a later time slot, there seems to be more seats available than when i first checked in.

Problem is once you start the web check in process, you have to pick a seat / finish it as you cant go to the seat allocation part and then cancel the web check in process, it seems to still think you have already checked in.

Strange, I am at the Qantas check in area and told I can't check for another 30 minutes as my flight isn't open yet.. I thought sydney was all day check in.. Annoying as I came with family who were flying elsewhere and their flight was open.
