Hi all,

Chasing some info on award availability on QF15 for December 2019. I have read that it is released to bronze members 297 days before date of flight. Looking at the website I am unable to find any availability on Qantas metal at all on this flight when looking at 297 days from today (30 October 2019) has anything changed with this 297 days? Also is there a way to see award availability on Qantas metal only?
Our travel dates in December are extremely flexible so not really set on any day in particular I just want to get the timing sorted so i don't miss out when they become available. I would also be happy to travel from Sydney or Melbourne

Thanks in advance

Hi & welcome to AFF. I always thought it was 330 days for all but I may be wrong there. As for availability etc check out the Expert Flyer website. Loads of useful info.
I usually do the 15/16 to and from LAX. When it was 747 flown usually could get 1 or 2 seats at the max time but since it changed to the 787 I havent had any luck

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

It can be tough to find award seats in December as it's peak travelling time - school holidays, Christmas holidays etc - people paying full price for seats so airlines are less inclined to have award seats available. But as far as I know the 297 days out is still the correct info.
