Do we have a Hilton rep on the forum - I'm having major issues with them at the moment and have spent over an hour on the phone to three different reps and none of them seem to be able to make any decisions. I am Diamond atm

Not as far as I'm aware. There may be someone on here that has a contact. Or the FlyerTalk forum may have someone?

Someone might have a local contact if it is property specific.

Agreed - as I showed above, as a regular in Perth, I have developed property specific contacts. I know people on this Forum who have contacts in SYD and CNS. Of course, if there are International properties, then the USA-domiciled Diamond Desk is the go. Or hop over to Flyertalk and contact the Hilton Honors Rep there.

Sorry to be OT but I'm having issues with stay count showing correctly ever since they did this IT upgrade. Redemptions dont seem to be included in total stay count and diamond email below could not confirm my number of stays but said there is an IT glitch and they will reflect shortly. Maybe try emailing them when US are online.

I have same issues since November. Called the diamond desk last week, they tried to do it manually but it didn’t work so they opened a “ticket”. Nothing happened since.

Don’t get me started, somehow Hilton’s system (or people at HHonors) just couldn’t count. Linked stays points and nights posting are especially bad. I tried to get the hotel to fix it, so far only Curio succeeded due to the perseverance of an individual.
I’m waiting for later this month when my stays subside then will try to do the correction a single sweep (here’s hoping anyway).

I was staying at the Cairns Hilton over the weekend and needed to see reception over a payment issue. As they where unable to correct it they went out back to the office to ask. The last person I expected to come out was the previous Lounge manager form Sydney Hilton who left in June, she said she only started a few weeks ago.

Marlon has moved across to DT-CNS so maybe that's why?

Yes she has taken on his position.

The new menu options available for the vouchers at the DT are a huge improvement. Had planned on going out for dinner but after they arrived there was no need.

The diamond gift is also a nice improvement at the DT. The last one I received was a box of choc coated macadamias.

I went from the base room to the top room. It was massive. Very happy. Shame i was only there for about 12 hours.

Pele.

Nice that DT CNS provides a gift. Are you certain it’s not due to a milestone stay, what’s the usual gift?
According to young lady at reception, it was their "new" diamond amenity. In the past at DT-CNS, I have received a tin of cookies and another time, a reusable coffee mug, but a "gift" has not been regular. I have another stay this week, so I'll see.

I received the same it's just a shame they are made in Victoria not from one of the many local manufacturers.

Although I always stay as 2, in the past I would only put 1 in the booking due to habit but now make sure its 2 as they double the vouchers and considering the value I find it makes the decision between the Hilton that much harder. Plus no parking costs and depending on breakfast staff no coffee charge.

I didn't know about the double vouchers, but I do now! ;)
I thought the exact same thing about the origin of the macadamias and one thing I really like about the Hilton gifts is the local selections.
I don't rent a car in CNS anymore (since Uber and now Muve came on board), so the parking is not an issue for me, but DT is abut $5 cheaper each way to the airport, so the difference between the two is roughly about $40 for me. I hope DT can lose that "tour group" feel. It's possibly now the only thing I really dislike about the place, but I did notice on my last stay that despite the place being busy (APEC) it wasn't so pronounced as previous stays.

I think it was my last stay in june after I think it was you that mentioned the breakfast issue with only one guest so put 2 on the booking. Both vouchers have x 2 written in pen on them and did not notice it at first.
