Just thought I'd create a thread for this - looking back over the last year, I thought I'd done a thread here as well as on Priority Club.

Okay, @kermatu now you have no excuse (and everyone else who stays at Perth Hilton for that matter) for not knowing who Jocelyn is - with her permission (20 year badge proudly showing):

She was aghast at the hair ball in the bathroom - service recovery was an additional tapas voucher x2. Very happy with outcome.

Oswaldo isn’t on shift until 3pm Wed, alas I’ll be on my way to the airport by then.

Won't see her next stay sadly but now know for future reference! Glad you had the chance to see her. And agree, extra tapas and wine is my kind of service recovery.

Okay, news hot off the press! Just had long chats whilst down for breakfast with the FoH staff and Jeremy (Facilities Mgr, for want of his actual title). Hiltons lease ends 31 Dec 18 and they have a 3 month extension because they are negotiating for a long lease. They are planning an Executive Lounge as the major part of renovations, which will also include a revamp of the check-in and foyer. Plans at present are for the old (Margaux's) nightclub space on the ground floor (through the walkway on the right just past check-in) to be converted to the EL and opening up the back of the property to link with Brookfield (Plaza/Place?) next door. Negative is no view but I can live with that. It's currently a storerooom.

Alternative is for one on Level 1, or 10 (where the old one used to be in the corner with partial views to the Swan River - that was almost 20 years ago, before my time).

So watch this space.

Excellent and long overdue! View doesn't matter at all. Wherever they can have a nice, large and comfortable space should be priority in my opinion.

Did end up having a glass of Noble One with this coconut ice cream ball with lime & passion fruit. OMG, seriously do yourself a favour and get it next time you’re here @kermatu . I might even have another one tomorrow night
Server of the night - Amy (Vietnamese). Always smiling, funny and deserving of the tip I gave her

We had the same dessert on our recent stay. It really is great and huge.

Amy served us as well and she was an absolute star, warm, engaging attentive but relaxed and happy to have a laugh. Some of the best service we have received at any restaurant in Perth. We made sure to pass on our feedback after our stay.

Probably not want you want to find in the corner of your bathroom during a stay (I put it onto the bath mat for easier viewing). Certainly not my hair - wrong color and length  ...

The horror!! I don’t know which is worse, hair in the shower or extremely dusty room which I had the unfortunate encounter with (not Hilton).

In your case, I think a room change/upgrade to suite in addition to the tapas vouchers would be fair.

Please say hi to Jono for me! :)

Booked: King Deluxe Room
Received: King One Bedroom Ocean View Suite

During previous stay earlier this year I was the only western guest. The hotel was brand new and it was low season. This time I could see some Americans and European but still vast majority were locals, presumably not holding high HH status hence the fantastic diamond treatment with suite upgrade cleared few days prior.

There are already 4 pools in the hotel, two on ground level and two on the rooftop AND men/women spas but clearly that’s not enough so they added 3 more outdoor heated plunge pools on the roof.

Executive lounge had one of the best offerings for dinner - pizza, seafood, Asian dishes, salads and few desserts. Breakfast at restaurant was even more impressive with plenty Korean and western selections.

So far this is my favourite city Hilton in the world!

Select an Executive room and enjoy access to the Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast, refreshments and stunning views.”
Thanks. Amazing what a bit of competition within a chain can do.

Interesting though it refers to 'refreshments' but not evening canapes or similar. Guess we'll need to see when it is up and running.

Comments: 2nd stay and this new hotel has ironed out some of the teething issues. Feast restaurant has extended the menu somewhat and now appears to be a very popular restaurant in town however Mumu is not yet open. The location suits me well and except for some training issues, staff continue to impress me with their friendly demeanor, courtesy and helpfulness. One criticism is that the business centre is not yet open, so somewhat amusingly, I've been wandering down to Holiday Inn to use theirs, which is a bit inconvenient.

The exec lounge offers beer, wine, cider, soft drinks and water as self-serve and spirits on request. The canapes are actually quite tasty with a selection of chicken wings (those mini drumstick things), a variety of sushi, mini prawn spring rolls, crumbed prawns, nuts, crisps and a cheese platter. Breakfast in the lounge consists of quite an extensive array of danishes, fresh fruit salads (pre-made coughtails or make-your-own selections) and you can order hot food (sausages, eggs, bacon, omelettes, Benedict etc) as well as salads (I had an avocado salad with eggs and chicken sausages yesterday morning).

All up, a good addition to the POM accommodation market.

Additional to above post (can't seem to add pics in edit) but breakfast in the exec lounge this morning, grilled fish (which was very tasty, I might add).

Thanks for the posts. Is breakfast for Diamonds lounge only, or is it still in flux because of the restaurants situation?

I'm not entirely sure if Feast was serving breakfast or not. The exec lounge was certainly not busy but the breakfast was good so I didn't even check downstairs. Sorry for that faux pas!

Property : Conrad Hong Kong
Status : Diamond
Booked : 2 x King Deluxe
Received: 1 x King Executive Peak view and 1 x King Deluxe

The check in agent wasn't prepared to provide lounge access or breakfast for the 2nd room until I informed them that my parents were gold members themselves and then they were provided with both. Overall pretty good stay but the hotel is starting to show its age.

Property : Conrad Macau

Booked : 2 x King Deluxe
Received 1 x King Deluxe (1st night) and 1 x King Deluxe Suite (2nd night) and 1 x King Deluxe

Apparently the hotel was at full occupancy due to the Grand Prix the first night, so they couldn't offer me any sort of upgrade and the check in agent wasn't particular helpful when I asked if there was a larger room available for the 2nd night, I was too tired to push it further so just took the room. I went down to reception and spoke to a supervisor in the morning and they immediately upgraded me to a King Deluxe Suite for the 2nd night. Same issue as in Hong Kong where they didn't offer lounge access or breakfast until I mentioned that they were gold members.
Overall very nice hotel and King Deluxe Suite is huge.
