what's your budget?
J on SYD-MEL-DPS return route would give you 320 sc, it should be around 1.9-2.2k

Depends if you are using DSC's. A three segment local journey, booked return and flex, will give you 240 SC's if you can claim DSC's and that's easily done in the day. Just pick a regional town you'd like to visit.

Am thinking Priority Pass maybe a better solution...

Do have Lounge in SYD and SCL longhaul and will be Gold when I get back and have flights booked to maintain Gold for the following year. Still too far from Plat to waste another $3k and a long day in CHC....

Can you pay to upgrade them to J? That may get you the SC you need for Gold, plus the equivalent OWS benefits for those flights.

There are no oneworld lounges at CGH, SDU or BSB by the way.

Are your SCL-GRU and EZE-SCL flights connecting (same day) to your QF J flights? If so you will get lounge access as per OW lounge access rules.

Which is why I'm thinking PP as they have a selection of lounges..
Most of these flights/routes don't offer J they are Y only (some have a W cabin SCL-GRU and EZE-SCL maybe) but stupidly expensive for the longest flight of 4-4.5hrs
No not connecting on the same days this trip..

Appreciate everyone's input if only I'd read the DSC promo properly - I could have diverted my $3k elsewhere (although i enjoyed the EK A380 F cls experience a lot)

So I’m requal to WP now plus just received the 50 status credits bonus so I’m done and dusted until April 30 2020. Might actually see me done with all this. Partner has LTG so maybe not the same need.
