So today, I received the following letter as appended below
Problem is, I have not flown / used Velocity as far as I can remember for the longest time (i.e. no recent activity) , nor transferred points in / out as far as I can remember as well. Have a grand total of zero points in the account (maybe some expired) and zero SC obviously. Can't even remember the last time I stepped into a Virgin plane!
So why would I receive this letter? And what unusual activity can there be?
Do they suspend accounts that are "dormant"? Maybe my account was hacked but AFAIK, my email address is still the same and I wasn't informed of any transactions on my account. Strange. But no real loss.

This letter is to notify you that Velocity Rewards Pty Ltd (Velocity or us or our or we) has detected unusual
activity in relation to the Account and has suspended the Account effective as at 5 November 2018.
We believe that the activity may amount to a breach of the Velocity Frequent Flyer Terms and Conditions
(Membership Terms) and have suspended the Account while the matter is investigated in accordance with
section 9.1 of the Membership Terms.
We are unable to provide further information at this time and will inform you of the outcome of our
investigation within 30 days.
