E-rewards: got invited via Accor, participated, got to about 25,000 e-reward points..

Hi all,

I'm looking to sign up to E-Rewards to boost my AccorHotels LeClub points. Ideally, however, I'd like to sign up through a partner that allows me to redeem points for a wide range of partners, and not just one.

The LINK on the AccorHotels website has not allowed signups for at least 18 months, and instead directs users to a page to 'learn more' about E-Rewards.

Previously, I had signed up through Virgin Australia, however this only allowed me to redeem for VA, and no other partners, so I got the E-Rewards team to close this account, so I could try to find another partner in which to sign up that allows me to earn LeClub points.

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction for a partner that allows redemption for LeClub points, and ideally allows redemption on a range of partners, including Virgin Australia?

I'm based in Australia, if that information is pertinent.

Cheers,

You need to he invited.
That is how I started.
Stay at Accor hotel one night, you get an invite to join them ie e Rewards.
Or go via VFF.
Once joined you can choose where you want rewards to go to, I got Woolworths Rewards once.
With e Rewards its only 1:1, not multiple partners to e Rewards.
Ie Accor to e Rewards OR VFF to e Rewards.

Hi AustraliaPoochie, thanks for your post.

I was previously signed up through Virgin Australia (a few years ago they had a link on their Partners page that acted like an "invite"), however when wanted to redeem the E-Rewards points, I could only choose VA for redemption, and no other partners. This "invite link" on the VA website is no longer there.

There are some partners that, once you sign up through their invite, actually allow you to choose to redeem points across a number of partners, and not just the partner you signed up with, such as like THIS. I realise that you cannot redeem for multiple partners with the same single redemption, however ideally I would like to be able to choose which partner I want for a particular redemption, depending on my needs at the time.

Accor also has never sent me an invite to join on E-Rewards, and I've completed 68 nights this year so far, so I think I can rule that out. As I said in my other post, they do have an "invite link" on the AccorHotels LeClub website, however this hasn't worked for well over 18 months.

It appears that that user signed up with IHG, so I'll sign up to their program. Hopefully they'll send me an invite, but I'm not going to go out of my way to stay at one of their hotels.

Cheers,

Ah.
I see.
Don't know the solution of how to start in your situation with the more info.
BUT I am over them as mentioned.
Easy way to earn points but not SC which is more important.
Maybe start a new post and see if our colleagues have any ideas.
Some dont quite like me on here.

Just in the last month i have started using e-Rewards much more, earned nearly 8000 reward points in the last couple of weeks... I think I signed up with American Airlines and so that that is the only airline on offer in my Redemption Centre so not too bad but would like to have the option of Virgin Airlines or others... I wouldn't mind getting an invite from a car hire company so if i closed my current account and reopened with them then they might be the only hire car redemption option but i might have a wide range of hotels and airlines to choose from...

But yeah currently I have a decent range of partners including Choice Privileges, IHG, Accor, Hilton, Radisson, woolworths gift card, woolworths/caltex fuel gift cards, JB Hifi GC, iTunes GC, David Jones....

Just prefer a few other airlines if i earn more points than i can send to one airline although i guess i can send to Accor and then send to some of the airline partners they have even at a reduced rate...

Hi Casanovawa, thanks for your reply!

You raise an interesting point - if you sign up with an airline, do you get one airline + many other partners in other sectors? Likewise, if you sign up with one hotelier, do you only get to redeem for that one hotelier + other partners in other sectors?
Perhaps I should sign up to some of these car hire companies or other airlines programs and try to score an invite.

Just regarding your comment about Accor and airline partners. You can convert at a 1:1 rate your LeCLub rewards points to both Qantas (minimum 2000 points for a manual transfer, also has automatic transfers which do any amount) and Virgin Australia (minimum 4000 points). Other airlines are typically not at 1:1.

I'm not sure how I got into e-Rewards but I have access to redeem against some airline partners including Virgin Australia but not Qantas.

I can transfer to Hilton but seem to have lost IHG. Don't think I ever had Accor.

Also looks like Woolworths/Wish cards are also an option but poor value.

The recent referrals to e-Rewards appear to limit redemptions to the referring program only which is not too appealing.

Just got an email saying "Your eRewards account will expire soon". And that I need to take another survey to keep it active.

The last survey I did was maybe last week and earlier this month I transferred to Velocity, so it's a bit weird receiving this.

AisleSeat, I've been a member of E-Rewards as it styles itself for some time yet haven't had that email of which you talk. I participate fairly regularly but don't get accepted into every survey, sometimes receiving just '25 points' for answering a couple of questions.

I emailed them about it, as I'm genuinely confused.
