At Christchurch lounge waiting for QF132 to Melbourne. It’s going to be late and was 3.5hrs late yesterday.

Received email saying that there would be no inflight entertainment. We have 3 J seats and the plane is full of kids returning for the end of Vic school holidays.

No one at check in was aware of the issue until we raised it.

I was on VZX yesterday on QF89/90, IFE did not work even though the crew tried to make it work. We were given magazines for the flight. No proactive compensation was offered.

Recently flew SYD-DXB in Y (EK metal, QF ticket) with no IFE for the duration. Issue was restricted to several rows rather than the whole aircraft.

Received 10,000 QFF points after Emirates hand-balled the compensation request to Qantas.

In the end there was no entertainment although there were some menus active, there was no content. I’ll contact QF for compo and Update after.
