I have late flight out of Hong Kong on Monday and would like to make use of the early check in with the Airport Express train at Kowloon station for a Qantas flight. Has anyone used the this check-in option and can give me some feedback.

You can check-in anytime during the day. If you already have a train ticket or an octopus card with enough money you can go directly to the check in counter. If not, just buy a ticket at the machine next to the entrance or at the customer service desk.

Lots of people here.

It works well. You have to buy a ticket on the Airport Express to be able to use the service. But after check-in you can then exit and travel to the airport hours later, as you wish.

To note: If there is more than one of you, the multi-ticket paid option is cheaper than using an Octopus card each.

This is easily one of my favourite services provided. I usually stay in Kowloon, so it is always convenient. As talked about above, it is inside the rail area, but you can exit once you have checked your luggage in. While I have heard that queues sometimes form, I've never personally seen any - probably because of the time of day I drop my luggage in- and it has always been quick and easy.

I agree - a great add on to using the airport express. Wish more airports offered it.
