Are you saying that the $5000 you needed to spend for the bonus included the govt spend? +1 needs to pay some land tax and I'm hoping that would be included in the $5000 needed to qualify for the bonus points.

Spend without fear. As far as I know, This is the last of “points for everything” cards.

Yes, and this dragon card is also mentioned positively in that particular thread that covers a particular type of govt spend.

I have only held this card since Aug 10, 2017 - so first 12mths not completed as yet - but 2 questions if I might:

1. What is general experience with 10% anniversary bonus - posts promptly?

2. For those who have held for longer has there ever been transfer bonus offered? If YES then bonus rate and to whom please?

Tks in advance.

Have not heard a complaint about the time it takes for the 10% bonus. My son was the first in our family to get it.
The points halve when they transfer to Kris Flyer and I have not seen any other bonus on offer.

Effective is 0.825KF/$1. 0.75+10% birthday bonus.

Only got the card in Jan, no birthday yet

In todays earning environment, that is a pretty good earn rate for non-amex KF taking into account the birthday bonus.

Yes I am close to a magic figure on this CC and it is running as a favourite. Mrscove,a brother and a son are all onboard and running fine. My son just signed up his partner and I saw a $3000 receipt hit my email so I think she has just qualified for the sign up bonus.

It's a birthday bonus rather than an anniversary bonus. It posts in the statement associated with your birthday.

I called to close the card recently and was transferred to the retention team but there was no retention offer of any kind. (Although I would have still cancelled even if they offered to waive fees.)

A little puzzled why folks are eager to churn-n-burn this card.

Is there any other Visa/Mcard out there that earns points towards KF or AM miles? There seems to be a consensus that a KF point is worth two QF points so this card's 0.82 KF points per dollar makes it very attractive compared to QF earning cards .

The sooner you dump it, the sooner you start the 12 month exclusion period.

I've never met a card worth keeping.

Churning is the number one way for me to earn large numbers of points.

There's a law change making it illegal for credit card companies to entice you to keep your card if you wish to cancel which is disappointing for those who like to threaten to cancel and not carry through with it if the annual fee is waived.

Of course not everyone is interested in KF or AM.

There would be ways around that, unless retention teams are eliminated entirely ...

This still doesn't answer my question "What other Visa/MCard earns me KF miles?".

I currently earn about 24,000 Amplify points per month (on non-Amexable spend) so over 12 months will expect to earn 300,000 points or 150,000 KF miles (plus 10% birthday bonus,m so 165,000 KF miles).
Ok, so I follow your advice and I dump this card and wait out my 12 month exclusion...... for a mere 60-90,000 points?
(I can't see me buying ~$18000 of Visa1 cards per month on my Amex Explorer.)

To best my knowledge coriander this is highest earning Visa or Mcard for KF pts earn - and plenty people with significant spend are cultivating plenty pts at eff rate .85pts/$1 spend. Sign on bonus whilst a nice sweetener are really chicken feed to big spenders on this card.
