Thanks for that. Picked up some Viberti Giovanni 2010 'La Volta' Barolo DOCG Riserva and Viberti Giovanni 2013 'Buon Padre' Barolo DOCG at a rather good price!

Just got an email, 30% is back on at Smash Vino this weekend. SMASHINGBOTTLES code.

35% off, code is SMASHEUROPE. good buying!
A good discount - but what wine is good buying?

There are some French reds and whites that may be but I don’t have any knowledge on them.

Any suggestions?

"what wine is good buying?" this is obviously subjective. I couldn't resist the 35% off for below:

Paringa Estate 2017 'PE' Pinot Noir × 6 $162.00
Amaranta 2014 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo × 6 $192.00
Teusner 2015 'Avatar' Grenache Mataro Shiraz × 6 $180.00
Mollydooker 2016 'The Boxer' Shiraz × 6 $150.00
Viberti Giovanni 2010 ‘La Volta’ Barolo DOCG Riserva × 6 $480.00
Viberti Giovanni 2013 ‘Buon Padre’ Barolo DOCG × 6 $360.00

Code seems to only be able to be applied subjectively. Doesnt work on at least: Leeuwin Art Series Cab, Savaterre Chard, Laurent Perrier Champagne (European)

Works on Teusner Avatar which is obviously not European

Yeah seemed to be applied arbitrarily to my order. I went for a selection of French, Italian and Aussie reds/whites.

I did the same .... bought some of the following:
Viberti Giovanni 2010 ‘La Volta’ Barolo DOCG Riserva
Viberti Giovanni 2015 ‘La Gemella’ Barbera d'Alba
Unico 2016 Montepulciano D'Abruzzo
Amaranta 2014 Montepulciano d'Abruzzo
and then some Leeuwin and mixed reds.

Cracked open the Unico over the weekend .. lovely drop for a reasonable price.

They are still a bit new to this "direct retail" stuff.

Items marked as "Sale" are usually not included, but others like Leeuwin Cabernets and Louis Roederer Champagnes were excluded from this one as well. The LR were I think included in the 20-25% codes, some of which still work.
I emailed Tom after some grumbles about it on my Forum and he told me he would look at how to make the exclusions more specific and visible in future.

I was impressed by the Barolo for the price but will putting my remaining few to sleep for a while.

I ordered the La Gemella, along with the Olivier Ravoire Chateauneuf-du-Pape and the Howard Park Museum Release Riesling, and a few others to fill in the gaps.
