I’m sorry if this has already been discussed elsewhere on the forums; we are traveling and I have restricted internet access, so is easier to ask than go searching.
We are in Europe, having an amazing trip and decided to extend our return date. We booked Singapore Airlines business class and paid for the tickets plus fees, taxes etc; so why when I changed the date, we’re we charged for the fees, taxes etc; again?
Shouldn’t it be that you’ve paid them on the initial ticket so they aren’t applicable on the changed ticket? The charges are not the difference in fare or change fee.
Am really curious about this.
Thanks.

There will more than likely be a change fee with business class revenue tickets and you would need to pay the difference in airfare which can be quite high for last minute airfares.

It is quite possible that taxes and carrier charges such as fuel surcharge can increase. Didn't airport departure duty ex-UK increase recently?

You will need to send SQ an email asking for explanation of the charges.
