Just use a towel

The sad thing is that people would spend that much on a hair dryer. I wonder if it dries the hair better than a towel or a $20 hair dryer?

Works for me. I don't really find anything sad about it at all.

Just had 'dinner' at the CP Dead Sea. Has to be one of the worst 4+ star places I've ever been at, in every respect. Every staff member affects couldn't give a f .... .

Dinner option is a coughpy bar or the buffet (no restaurants around). St Swithen's boarding house refectory would have more style and better food.

But what was obvious - clientele nearly 100% white/anglo, either kipa wearing, or European/American; nearly all +40 and majority +55?? and generally behaving like pigs (as befitted the environment). Awful to sit back and watch.

Staff clearing tables I'm guessing nearly all Arabic back-ground ... ?Palestinian?? and 100% very unhappy at their jobs. Arguing between themselves, banging plates and cutlery.

But who can blame them? Horrible environment, rude people around them every night, probably paid b-all..

Depressing.

Even Di was semirelated. The Spencers would have been quite senior in the queue to the throne but for (apparently according to MrsQS) the propensity to bring in some DNA out of wedlock.

Liz and Phil are approx third cousins - Phil via Q.V. maternal line and Liz via Q.V. paternal line

There was one in the hotel in Sapporo we stayed at. It was very good though I don’t think I’d bother buying one.

Don't remember the last time I used a hair dryer..... (OK, hair cut/coloured on Saturday, and the hair dresser used one on me) Love my Dyson vac, but no way would I require a hair dryer.

So glad we went to Melrose Abbey. It's something I could look at multiple times, in different lights.

My Scottish regret is 3 weeks just isn't enough time. I would like to see more of the Scottish Borders, Aberdeenshire ect.

Yes, or... I was in an accident once and I was livid about it because the woman drove through a stop sign and we were all lucky I was able to slow down enough to hit her rear quarter panel and not plough my mother's Saab into the back seat where her kids were screaming. When the cops arrived I asked that she be breathalysed and they questioned why I would want that since if she was found to be drunk, her insurance wouldn't pay to fix my car!! I was adamant, because I was livid and I did not care.

So incredibly sad but it can happen so quickly and quietly.

Awfully sad, and so easy.

We were sitting 3 mètres from the pool with friends, when one of their kids quietly walked into the beach area of the pool and slid under. Mr ALH was the only one who saw her disappear, he knocked over his chair and suddenly sprinted into the pool. Not a sound was made, not even a ripple on the surface. Despite all her swimming lessons, she was basically lying underwater and doing nothing to save herself.

NOTHING works around pools except supervision and constant vigilance.
