My sister had been riding pillion, the dropkick rider overtook a car on on a blind bend and sideswiped a truck, my sister now permanently resides in a nursing home and is minus her right leg as well as having a severe brain injury.

Sorry to hear.
Hopefully the CTP provided some financial certainty.

That’s ok thanks but not required. :)
I asked this question of a close colleague and he does not have any debts but has substantial Life/TPD. He says he is worth more to his spouse dead but reckons as he is still living there must be still be some goodwill.

No worries. Happy to help

So the auto driving uber with the distracted safety driver that hit a pedestrian.

Her job is to just sit in the driver's seat?

When does human take over when the expectation is that it all works autonomously.?

My car has that auto emergency brake, but I’ve never driven it at another car to test it. How do I know if it’s going to work as advertised?

Another box of goodies for the Salvos... How did I end up with about 10 rain jackets? Only two ever worn......

How do I manage to buy a new ski wardrobe every year? :p

Thankfully our collection of snow gear is known far and wide. Friends and family kit themselves out frequently for those ‘one-off’ holidays to the snow or just colder climates, so nothing gets wasted.

Edit: Just for fun, I went and looked at our Rain Jacket collection. OMG! 9!

I remember setting the car up for for auto reverse park... then I chickened out.

My boss did have a micro sleep once and his car corrected and parked on the side. Scared the cough out of him.

Yes it did, fortunately it wasn't his bike, it belonged to a friend of his and the bike was insured with CTP and registered. If it had been the rider's own bike, that would have been a very different story.

Anyone got life insurance covering more than the value of their debts?

Yes, but then again, you'd expect that of me given my work.

I have (and review annually) sufficient life and TPD cover to repay all personal non-deductible and deductible debt, educate the kids through to grade 12 at our chosen school and finally leave an amount of capital for Mrs QF WP to compensate for the differential in our earnings for 10 years.

Then I have sufficient for my business to repay the loan taken from my family trust (which in turn was lent to it by me personally).

Trauma insurance - I have been culling annually via similar calculations, as it's getting rather expensive at my age and will only get moreso.

When were we talking recently :D

Park assist or auto reverse park takes longer. Once I lost a spot to another driver.

Well that's reason for a street fight in Sydney... The older I get, the more inclined I am to park further away from everyone else. I like the my car.

I just found 2 x Burke Wills Drizabones! Thought I got rid of them all but these are xx_L & XXL.

Reverse parking is easy although it got harder with wider girth and then glasses.

Actually, I got it in the wrong order: :D :( :p
Ok some inane bit of trivia:

It’s very important to get it in the right order when vomiting underwater scuba diving.

Breathe in
Take out regulator
Chuck
Put in regulator then repeat

Vomiting almost always involve a bit of breathing in prior. Don’t do that after regulator is removed. Some say chuck into regulator but I’m not sure what would happen if some chunky bits jam it

We had a tiny Hyundai xi something with no camera and I made hubby get out to direct my reverse parking.

He gave me a WTF look, because it's a small car, but I reminded him of $3K excess.
