BW have a very confusing way of doing points.

Points are credited to your QFF account monthly (mines on the 5th every month).

My statement rums on a completley different set of dates.

Points earned from the 5th to the 4th are credited to QFF on the 5th. Statement shows what is earned for the statement period, which will always be different to what is credited.

Clear as mud I hope.

Irrespective of your statement cut date... QF points posted are for the 4th of a given month to the 3rd of the next month, inclusive. Bankwest then posts them to QFF on the 5th of each month (sometimes delayed to the 6th).

I understand all that but I only received 0.5 pts per $ on my last statement...on previous statments, I received 0.66 pts per $. At a loss as to why...

Does it actually say that in the "your features" box on page 1 of the statement?

I should also add that it's based on transaction settle date (4th -> 3rd) and not the date of the transaction which is what the statement would show.

Go to the transaction history on Bankwest, then download the CSV of the history and look at the amount of spend that way as that will give you the settle dates.

Yes it says 0.66 pts per $

What makes you think you only got 0.5 then?

As others have implied, you can't just multiple the total balance by 0.66 and expect to get that number of points, due to the timing of the points sweep to QF.

When I multiply my latest statement balance by 0.5, it is exactly the number of Qf points BW have allocated; on previous statements, the balance multiplied by 0.66 equals the number of Qf points allocated by BW....but I will go through all my transactions again to double check given the info posted above :)

I have looked at all my transactions between 4 February and 3rd March, and it still appears I have only received 0.5 pts per $ spent. I guess I will have to raise it with BW.

I am in the same boat.
Are you paying a Tax payment with your card?
I paid a $42,000 BAS payment this month but my statement only credits me with 21,000 points instead of around 27,720.
I'm concerned they may have dropped the points earn on ATO payments without notification (or I missed it somewhere).

Last year at this stage I got a fee waiver. Just called again to cancel, and offered zilch. I'll do a HUACA, but not looking promising. I didn't ask about the .5 points seemingly down from .66 as I put tax on it and didn't want to tempt fete till we work it out.

I just checked my March statement and also only got 0.5 points per dollar. I rang them up and the officer could see that I only received 0.5 (quite simple really, spent $108 and got 54 points). She has escalated the issue and I should hear back within 48 hours. I did mention that I was not the only one affected.

Please update us when you hear back.

I can confirm the 0.5pts/$ trend. I only made three purchases, all in the middle of the last month, so it was pretty easy to calculate the points earn.

I have the same problem and contacted BankWest, they told me that they identified and acknowledged the issue. The missing points will be credited to my Qantas account within next 3-4 business days. I think they will be crediting all the affected customers. So check your Qantas account next week to see if you receive the missing points from BankWest.

I received the call back from BankWest this afternoon. Was told much the same as tlam, except that it may take about a month to fix.

Should get fixed on April 5th Mrscove was told. Someone changed the earn rate and changed it wrongly to 0.5.
Roll on 0.66!

If they have changed it to 1.5 wrongly, then we shouldn’t have this thread, lol
Keep silent and enjoy the benefit.

No they shorted all the points earned on their March 5th points post. Down at the retail call Centre the poor call receiver lacked the arithmetical skill so the call went up to a supervisor. 0.16 points per dollar short can really add up if it is a favourite card.
