2 flights book on 5/2 on 3 MAR credited the moment i land and DSC posted 3 days later 6 MAR pretty fast

Yes a delayed booking. There have been reports some of these have posted automatically.

I don't understand the inconsistency.

Yes there is a big inconsistency. Travelled to New York last Oct and had DSC for flight over in 2 days. Also same on return flight. QFF told me in an email that they have a Product Facilitator that looks after the DSC promotion. Wonder if that means it is outsourced to an external provider (perhaps overseas) to manage????

I've had a slightly unusual experience, I had a targeted 50% SC offer the day before the double SC promo, so of course I registered thinking the double SC was a good month away. When the double SC promo appeared the next day I phoned QF to ask if I register for the double promo that that would take precedence. I had an emphatic yes, so I registered, then within the promo booking period bought flights, then flew after the 12th. Three days after the flight 50% SC's appeared, not double. I used the online messaging to query this and the QF representative said that I would definitely get the double SC's, just neeed to wait 6 weeks. Question is whether the 50% bonus SC's will remain or disappear as the doubles get added. Somehow I think 150% bonus SC's is a dream

Wow that was quick was that for domestic or international. I have been waiting 3 weeks and still nothing

3 days appears to be the normal time for posting of DSC's (from the experiences posted here, including mine).

Do any of us truly understand IT . Some things fall through the cracks and somebody is there to try and work it out at the end of the promo. Why is the ultimate question.

Let's be honest, there is enough anecdotal evidence around to suggest that after a batch of DSC post (or don't post as the case may be) you will need some level of manual intervention to rectify any issues. The automatic query that sweeps accounts looking for eligible bookings is only going to find and/or process an eligible booking once. The whole "wait 6 weeks" thing only comes into play if they haven't posted at all.

I've just gone through an entire saga trying to get DSC credited to my mother's account for flights booked and taken under last year's promotion. At that stage I wasn't aware of the ZULU time issue, which caused our bookings to be considered ineligible by QF's system. We had been going round and round in circles for about four weeks with the absolutely USELESS QFF Service Centre email CSAs. They repeatedly claimed they couldn't see an issue and the bookings were ineligible. I finally cracked the coughs and got a fairly heavy-hitting QF contact of mine involved just this past Sunday. DSC were in the account first thing on Monday morning.

I'd like to be able to say that you're going to get the other 50% automatically, but I think to be a realistic chance you're going to have to contact them and fight it.

That's what I thought, hence the phone call! The QF rep was surprisingly emphatic that the double promo would over-ride. For me it was no biggy, either 50% or 100%, it's all a bonus. By the same token, I may as well follow up as a second QF rep, in writing, confirmed I'd still get the double. As always with QF, and other things in life, often if you don't ask, you don't get......

This would suggest some sort of manual processing of double SCs.

To make matters worse, it's a multi-city itinerary to the US, and I don't think I can do things in the same sequence on my revised dates. Anyone know where this leaves me? Am I correct to fear that the only option would be to cancel and then make a new booking, thus losing the DSC offer?

Conversely, if somehow I can manage to still go through the same airports, in the same order, but just on different dates, I would still qualify for DSCs, right?

My understanding is that you can still change dates as long as the new flights fall within the promotion period with the same PNR you will get DSC. I have changed my flights before.

You can perhaps call QF and see what reservations can do you for. Perhaps they can work some magic.

Thanks. Yes I think you're right if I just change the dates. The problem is I think I may have to change routing as well, and I'm not sure if it's possible to do that without creating a new PNR?

Did you use a travel agent to book this? If so, they may be able to look at various possibilities and figure out something for you.

Unfortunately not. I normally would, but there were reasons why I didn't on this occasion.

Not for me. I've just made another booking for this Sunday returning mid April. See how we go this time.

I am taking one this Monday. Not only was this one made mid Feb, it as also been changed twice and rerouted. Lets see what happens.
