If a flight is commenced on a FF anniversary date, will the SC be credited for the current FF year or the new FF year?

My anniversary date is XXNov18.
I want to take a flight on XXNov18. Will the SC be credited to FF year ending XXNov19?

No. it is backdated to departure date.

BTW All Qantas anniversaries are the end of month, AFAIK. so XX is 30?

A flight scheduled to depart on 30Nov18 will be credites to Nov18.

e.g. LAX-BNE QF16 scheduled to depart 11pm 30thNov 2018 but departs 1am on 1 Dec 2018 will be credited as Nov 2018.

I understand it’s credited to scheduled departure date

But would the departure date SC be credited to the pool of SC for current year or near year when the anniversary FF date is departure date?.

In the QF app tier entry is calculated on SC accumulated “before XXnov 2018”. .

No.

QF Anniversary is end o month, so it's any flight prior to 2359 at the end of that month (timezone irrelevant)

and of course, if you're booed on and fly on a flight that leaves say 2330 30NOV but it is delayed until 0200 the next day it is still that scheduled 30NOV flight and will post as such. (unless they cancel and refly it the next day or something, but that's a special case and QF would sort that out anyway)

If you like consider it "flights up to and including the membership anniversary date"

Ok thanks all.

There is a workshop I want to attend in NYC on Dec 1,2.

I thought with the DSC promotion and J cabin I can sweep 1180SC total. For QF11/12 SYD-JFK return (295SC each way x 2).

Bad luck...:(

Well if you fly over on 30NOV (arriving 30NOV) you'll at least get the 590 in one year, and 590 in the next....

Gold requal (almost!) in a day :D

True except I’m already WP requalified current year and don’t need any further SC - not even the loyalty bonus 50SC

Well the DSC should still count towards LTG if you don't yet have that so all is not lost.
