J on the E190 (intra-Europe) is a con unless you are chasing status credits. The service is better with HEL based crew but the seat is the same as economy and no shadow.
Would this configuration be the same as what VA had before the refurbishments? Not a great business class product.

I’m not familiar with the VA product, but J on AY was exactly the same seat as Y but with different food served and free alcohol. No shadow. The Y seats are pretty good.
