Hi. Can anyone help me to identify how to find which domestic flight sectors the refurbished QANTAS A330's are flying on and the specific flight numbers? I am particularly interested in flights between Brisbane - Sydney - Brisbane. Thanks.

Hi OP you might want to ask the mods to move your post into the relevant thread.

Better chance than not..
Only two non-refurbs flying (the SkyBed I equipped - EBG and EBL) and these are predominately on International routes fitting in a few domestic routes in off time. Routes are fairly random but only two SYD-BNE in last week:

Expectation is that in the next fortnight both these aircraft will go into refurb, so then it will be guaranteed.

bumping this so that i don't have to start a new thread?

Have all the local A330 birds been converted to full flat beds for QF J?

Correct EBG/EBL have remained un-refurbed.
QF has reportedly now extended the leases but still not committed to a refurb timeline

Mostly they are in international - but any A330 is going to be better than a 737 :)

Im looking to redeem PER - MEL in J to try this product (first time). So hope they dont swap it out!

Wouldn't worry about getting the unrefurbished 332 as they are mostly doing international runs with the occasional SYD-MEL runs. As mannej pointed out, your bigger concern is the swap to an 73H.

Any way that QF will allow me to swap out into a A330 in the event that my plane is swapped to 73H?
Those latter ones are annoying...

My one aim about 2.5 years ago, was to get BNE - SYD on the 330, or was it the 767, can't remember now, but guess what happened, it got swapped to a 737.
Would still love to try the 330 BNE - SYD, but it seems on this route, that its all 737 these days.
If you do nab a 330, and they don't swap your plane, consider yourself 1000% lucky.
Even a lot of the flight BNE - PER have gone 737.
In the 737, in Y I feel so cramped 3 across, but on the 330, its only 2 acorss in Y by the window.

If you want to try the 330 in J, save the money and go MEL - SIN, or MEL - AKL.
These have a higher chance, esp the MEL/SYD/BNE - SIN for the 330, than these getting swapped to a 737. MEL/SYD - AKL still could be swapped, as the 737 can fly this route easily, but not as far as SIN.
I did PER - SIN on the 330 in 2013, in Y, was a great service that one!
Have also done 330 in J MEL - SYD about 18 months back, the sash seatbelt like a car front seat seat belt gave me a feeling of the wow factor!
Edit:
Any way that QF will allow me to swap out into a A330 in the event that my plane is swapped to 73H?

$80 change fee is annoying, but if in J then no change fee.
I had to phone up QF phone bookings 3 times, as they kept swapping that MEL - SYD flight on me 3 times to a 737.
Was in J, so no change fee, but the wait time, as a QF SG was about 45 mins, that is the downside.
Ok, will keep quiet on this this thread now.

I will always be/try to excel at being the Scrat of the branch/forum with that elusive acorn that keeps wanting to run off/roll off/fall off...
HOWEVER with the movements of the 330 to other destinations away from Au domestic, I have to one day admit total defeat and fly a QF 737 in J or a VA 737 in Y(x).
