There's a major electronics bay just above that. You really don't want smoke in any of the black boxes...so it might be a bit more than a cleaning job.

Agreed there are other electronic equipment there, but lets not forget the extreme environment the fuselage is already subject to by just flying.

A black box is any box of electronics on the aircraft. It doesn't mean that they are black, just you don't have to know much about them. The flight recorders are at the back of the aircraft.

The major electronics bay is there. And on the ground various vents are open, that are not, in flight. The environment that they normally live in is clean and air conditioned...so introducing thick smoke that provides the sort of sooting seen on the photo is not close to a normal situation.
