Hey guys, pretty sure I know the answer to this but thought I would ask! Flying with Virgin to the Canada via USA. Have a platinum charge card. T+Cs seem to say only domestic australia do we get free entry. Has anyone ever tried to use it whilst at an international lounge? We stop over in LAX which unfortunately doesn't have a centurion lounge.

Thanks!

Use the free Priority Pass membership that comes with the Charge to access lounges where available.

Also, you get access with the Charge to the Skyclub if flying DL.

You didn't say where you were flying from, but you can use the Charge to access the AMEX Lounge in Sydney or the Plaza Premium Lounge in Brisbane (in the international terminals). Nothing in Melbourne but if you're hard-pressed for a lounge and are departing from MEL, you could always *try* using it for access to the VA domestic lounge in Melbourne prior to your VA flight (given they also use this lounge for passengers flying to Fiji). No guarantees it'll work, but the lounge is before domestic security and a quick walk from the international check-in area under the same roof, so provided you allow enough time to clear international formalities before your flight it might also be an option.

At LAX, you can use the free Priority Pass card you get with the Charge for access to the Alaska Airlines lounge in T6 and the Korean Air lounge at TBIT (remembering that at LAX you're allowed to enter one terminal with a boarding pass for another terminal, and that many terminals are linked airside anyway), so if you have enough time, this could also be an option.

Head to PriorityPass.com and enter where you're flying from in Canada to check what lounges you might be able to access, and you can return to the Korean Air lounge at LAX prior to your VA flight home to Australia, which is fortunately in the same terminal. :)

Just be aware the at showing an Australian-issued Charge card isn't enough for some overseas PP lounges, they need to see your membership card so it is worth installing the PP app and making sure you are logged in before travelling in order to prove membership.
