All grub is very, very tasty

I found the ravioli fairly plain but definitely not complaining. Plus it's very good to have the option of roast beef, cajun chicken and/or salami for sandwich filling, instead of just ham.

Can't imagine the curry cauliflower soup proved popular ...

Had the cajun chicken, black rice salad with corn and tomato as well as the chipotle slaw last Friday mid-afternoon at the SYD lounge and found it quite good.

Also tried the cauliflower soup and found it tasty. Went well with the average bread roll they had.

The problem in my opinion is consistency.

In the SYD lounge until ~5:15pm on Sunday and lounge is packed and only food on offer is the salad bar and soup. Had to lineup each time with queues of 8-10 people waiting.

That was our opportunity for dinner and didn't get home until ~10:30pm.

Beef and mushy peas pies and vegetable pies in BNE lounge. Also curry pasties.

Per Dom lounge tonight - Beef and Mushroom Pies.

Nice grub. Very tasty. Bigger than a party pie, but smaller than a regular pie. There was also some pizza, now that was very very tasty, wish they had more of that

The curry cauliflower soup and vegetarian fried rice were the hot options available in the PER lounge late afternoon yesterday.

Didn't try the soup as I had it before but the fried rice were only so so. Otherwise there were potato salad and greek salad on offer together with the usual sandwich filling.

BNE lounge had chicek curry and rice tonight! looked good. did not try had already had had my dinner.

No change in Cairns. Yesterday morning the VA lounge had the usual tired old salad bar (actually it was 1/2 a sald bar as it was partitioned off for the muesli cups), pancake machine and a couple of muesli cups. The QP in CNS at that time actually has quite a decent breakfast spread. VA can't compete with QF J lounge admittedly, but it seems to me they are not even interested in competing with the QP's. AT least DT-CNS gave me a full breakfast upgrade.

Penang chicken curry and rice in the BNE lounge this afternoon. A bit more chicken would have been nice but the horde had got to it before I had a chance...

So I take it the triangle are the only lounges to gain the food improvements?

Which food improvements? On the days they actually have something out for dinner other than salad bar and soup?
Yep. All these dishes appear to only make it to the triangle. Most sound ordinary, but at least it's something better than that bloody awful salad bar.
