Now in Sydney on the final flight of this trip, Qantas were nice enough to give me a seat of 3 to myself. I might lie down and go to sleep for an hour, even after a good rest I am still stuffed.

And I reached 1,000 likes on AFF.

Make sure youre wearing socks if youre going to lie down, dont want you ending up on that other thread with bare feet on the furniture.

Having some serious login issues with the site on my laptop, which I haven't used in a while. The site will not recognise my password, even though it's the same one I use on my tablet and phone.

Even tried to reset it via email just now, and it wouldn't even accept the temporary password.

Strange.

Posting this in the tech support thread as well obviously.

<snip>

Still it's all done for another month. Wonder what bill will land in my email on Monday morning?

Well the car insurance arrived in my PO Box today.

RACV Insurance Renewals and membership can be paid at Australia Post.
Ambulance VIC also at Australia Post.
Depends of course on what type of card you have, and considered Govt spend.

The benefit of the Internet is that I can avoid talking to people. :p
I only enter the post office premises via the PO box entrance.

Oh no, I hope it gets sorted quickly as I am sitting on the edge of my seat in your TR on Japan :shock:

Seriously hope it does get sorted; it is so annoying when things like this happen and you can't work out for the life of you why.

However, redemption can sometimes be variable, ranging from "invalid at this time" :shock: to "50% upgrade benefits" :D
You must be in a different program. Redemptions are usually against the unwritten T&C and trigger cancellation of same points. Additionally, Under OW rules partner earn/redemptions are definitely not allowed

OW = not one world

Just saw blakinho in the crowd at Sochi for the Australia versus Germany soccer game on the tv coverage. Seems our eldest son is enjoying his soccer watching trip in Russia.

Read Otto (young guy imprisoned in North Korea) died. Poor kid, poor family.

What did the nth Koreans do to him?

Botulism. It's a very toxic poison. Food borne. I suspect the Koreans didn't want him dying on their watch.

So over the weekend we stayed at the Rydges Gladstone hotel. Arrived Friday late afternoon and checked out Sunday morning. In the room there is a sign on the desk that there is NO service over the weekends, all day Saturday and Sunday ! So NO restaurant, NO breakfast, NO room service meals, NO maid service, NO room servicing at all !!!! If you want a clean towel etc you must go to the front desk and get one, but the desk is only open from 9am to 5pm !!!
I have never experienced this in a hotel anywhere before - has anyone else had this happen to them ??

Did you subtract a "service charge" for your services during your stay? Should have!:)

Wow, that's pretty poor and from a chain like Rydges as well. I can understand that sometimes rooms are not serviced on Sundays in some very small places but that they did not have any service of any kind for both Saturday and Sunday is almost unbelievable. I know where not to stay in Gladstone if I need to be there over a weekend.
