There is a group of people that participate in the All Stations Challenge.

They hit every single train station in Sydney, on purpose. Best time ever, 15.5hrs but most will take longer.

We used the trains for Vivid on the Fri night 2 weeks ago-no real hassles, staff at Circular Quay we very active in spreading the crowd on the platforms. I thought it was very worthwhile going up to the top of the Creative Arts building-had registered our Amex but they were very lax and we got great views of the Opera House up there. We also caught a regular ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour (via Milsoms Point etc) & thought it gave us a really good & different view.

We did Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo but it was too early as lights were not yet on. Then returned to Circular Quay and went around to Darling Harbour. Gave a good view of the displays.

Well, LOL, it's actually 'your' money, not mine!

Will Anderson arrested for disrupting a flight involving Wagga Wagga.

I would be upset about flying to Wagga Wagga too :)

Can someone please help.

Windows Vista machine cannot see control panel to do anything. Could earlier but something has turned it off. Cannot install any software as administrator appears to be disabled. Trying to install internet dongle but this not working as it needs permission but permission screen not appearing.

Tried starting up in safe mode but this not working either. Cannot enter activation key as it can only be done online.

Should have checked when we bought machine. Stuck in Brisbane for a week without laptop as I'd left the working one at home.

As much as we all hate it, paying bills is a necessary part of life and earning a few points whilst doing helps to ease the pain.

Easy to pay on the internet:
Telstra,
Credit cards,
Water and
Electricity.

Stupidly impossible to pay on the Internet.
RACV and Ambulance Victoria.

The link on the email from Ambulance Victoria doesn't work, nor does their website.
The RACV site is 'under construction' and useless.

Surely this is unacceptable in this day and age?

Can't be bothered talking to people so BPay was the only way to pay them.

Still it's all done for another month. Wonder what bill will land in my email on Monday morning?

Why should us taxpayers pay for your free use of power at a railway station?

I think you'll find that JohnK is a taxpayer, so he's probably entitled to some services. We can't have all government revenue going to the rent seekers!

Do many people have ambulance cover these days? Is there a benefit over and above private health... even the first story on the ambulance site says 'we would have been covered by private health but an ambulance subscription gives extra peace of mind' (I ask because we used to have it about 30 years ago but let it lapse because of private health)

RACV Insurance Renewals and membership can be paid at Australia Post.
Ambulance VIC also at Australia Post.
Depends of course on what type of card you have, and considered Govt spend.

I'm the classic invisible female today. Boarded and not welcomed on board. Guy behind - same status and a full on welcome so much so the lady behind him commented 'that was a lovely welcome'.

Sad that they seem to be blaming piracy as the reason for their failings as a broadcaster.

While on Safari in the middle of nowhere, I managed to arrange a very nice birthday cake for Mrs Flashback. She was impressed. It doesn't matter where we are in the world (it was Myanmar last year) I always deliver on that one little item. It's the small things that count.

Brownie points are really worth more than all the FF points in the world.
