I'm flying business class LAX-SYD on AA73 this month. No status. What are my lounge options (if, indeed, there are options)?

In business class on AA, you can get into the QF/OW business lounge in TBIT and the AA Admirals Club in T4. You may be able to get into the AA Flagship lounge (area within the Admirals Club), but I'm not completely sure with the access changes for the Flagship lounges starting to come through.

You will be able to use the Flagship lounge as International Business now get access - but when I was in there a few months ago it was under major reconstruction and was a mess (it has been relocated to a corner of the Admirals Club). About the only saving grace was self-serve Taittinger.

I would definitely recommend the QF/OW lounge in TBIT. It's only a short walk away using the airside connector.

While I realise you're in Business, I thought it's worth mentioning anyway in case others find this thread - if you're in First on AA73 it's worth heading back from the QF/OW lounge to the Flagship lounge a bit before boarding. The First host will collect you and escort you onto the aircraft before boarding commences (the glares you get as you're taken past everyone waiting in the line at the gate are priceless)

When is the travel? I'm on that flight around the middle of the month?

Never been into the Flagship lounge, but the walk to the QF lounge in TBIT is worth it. I even made the walk from T2 to TBIT when I was flying QR, and still worth it with all the messing around the security.
Luckily AA in T4 connects directly to TBIT (via tunnel) and you don't need to deal with security multiple times.

The T4-TBIT isn't a tunnel. It's upstairs above the concourse level. Goes between Gate 41 in T4 (with escalators into the newer connector building) and opens into TBIT upstairs next to the QF F lounge.
The airside tunnels are between T4, 5 and 6 and are under the tarmac mid concourse (eg, in T4, near gate 44).
