Our dog Sally having her birthday cake/muffin. She will be turning 17 on Tuesday. All the family home for Mothers Day dinner, so great chance to celebrate her birthday - don't like her chances of making it to 18. :(

I doubt very much that a certain AH 80 years ago would have envisaged his worker's holiday paradise turning into this.
Mind you after all it's been through and lot's of attempts to have it all demolished, it's good to see that some of it has been saved.

Sounds like a story on which elaboration may be in order. Where is it? Is it a renovated prison? ... and what's with all the dead grass around the pool? Seems like their grounds staff have been enjoying too many of those bent ales! :D

Also support the idea of a separate thread. An area we are looking at has lots with turn key packages. We are still considering the area but we like it and the idea of being able to build and have your own input into what makes a house functional is very appealing.

Only took about 75 years to finish the buildings!! Must be a great spot though.
