Current Qantas First Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

Blasphemy! Strip this man of all admin privileges.
I had some QF First lounge S&P squid ~2008 that was rancid in the middle. I was a bit queasy after that. Until then I had been a fan of it - I have not eaten it since.

This memory was reinforced early last year in LAX:
Arrived at the First lounge about 7:45 and the place is busy if not bursting.

The place reeked of battered fishyness and not in a good way as a pale miasma of steam/cooking gasses was erupting from the kitchen area, although it has cleared up a bit recently - sounds like they have turned the exhaust fans up.

Service has been attentive ...
Too many WP flying Y?
No ... more likely they were pre-cooking a large batch of S'n'P Squid for the evening and the exhaust fans could not cope ...

I did move tables to the other side of the restaurant area, away for the kitchen aperture.

That's so last decade Serfty. Get with the times man... The 2017 S&P Squid Challenge is now open.

I'll throw a spanner into the works and give a thumbs up for the Mumm Rose, considering I was 'encouraged' to sample the whole bottle on my last visit.

I prefer the Mumm Rose too. Had a couple of glasses of all three champagnes when I visited in August. Ranked them like this:

1. Mumm Rose
2. Taittinger
3. Perrier
