Qantas Singapore Lounge Catering Quality [Enhanced!]

Have not been to this lounge for about 6 months. Went to order a singapore sling which i have done numerous times in the past and was told no more coughtails anymore apart from a daily coughtail of the day. Grhhh...

Ditto...I was shocked when i asked in November for a SIngapore Sling to be told "can't do" !

Was told this when i was there in May. I ended up having a "house" coughtail which was just ok.

Guess we will all just have to settle for Raffles.

What cabin of service was everyone in? Shouldn't be restrictions for business class

Have had no difficulty getting an espresso martini (or two, or three)... but totally agree that (possible SQ connection notwithstanding) such as iconic drink for this destination should be on the menu.

The coughtail bar was one of the best features of the QF lounge at SIN IMO. Very disappointed to hear this.

OT to this thread but totally agree - Raffles long bar is an absolute rort for Slings (and other stuff). I went with a friend a few years back just "because it's Raffles" and to experience it. 2 slings for like S$42 (or something like that) seemed way over the top (even knowing Singapore is very expensive for spirits). Yes, itonic location, but they sure make the most of it and "sling" you for it Fun experience but not again

A bit of a downer. I remember when I first visited the Singapore lounge in 2013 they had Erdinger on tap. Those were the days...

you're lucky to find a coughtail in a Melbourne bar for under $20 these days... $22-25 is the norm... for tiny Aussie serves

Does the BA SIN lounge have a bar (other than the first class room) ? It has been a while since I have been into the BA lounge.

Not a tended bar, no, just a self-serve selection.

Alas even the Concord Bar at BA's SIN Lounge is self serve, and no Coates' Plymouth Gin.



I can't face the Qantas Lounge. The Concord Bar is typically quiet*, although on my last visit I encountered a couple in thongs and denim shorts. Turned out, by their bag tags, they were Qantas Platinum types.)



*It is also windowless, dingy and claustrophobic!!

I always thought the BA SIN concord bar was for First passengers only, not even Platinums/OWE's? So they must have been travelling First?

CCR Card Holders too. I suspect they were in F.....but not ruling out sneaking in when the door opened.

Have never rated the SIN lounge - the food offerings were enhanced within 6 months of opening and the outlook is dreary.

Better than the BA lounge outlook though.
I still think the catering is better than MEL/SYD J lounges, although think HKG>SIN
