Please tell me Im not the only one.

I just started unpacking from Perth and put the bag on top of the bag in the corner of the living room thats still not completely unpacked from Cambodia... about 6mths ago.

Me to me: I can leave this bag (Perth) here because Im going to use it in March.

I saw Madness, Mooloolaba beer garden 1980s :D

I knew the Wiggles when they were early childhood students at Macq Uni and were just starting this kids party entertainment thing.

A couple of days late...
Pretty sure I was at that gig, amaroo: Madness played in Brisbane (The CalamVale Hotel, think) then did a couple of gigs on the Sunny Coast - the other was at Alexandra Headlands? A couple of friends were mad about Madness so a carload of us went to all 3 shows plus 2 on the Gold Coast.

Support band was The coughroaches, some of whom went on to form The Wiggles.

Not my first gig though: Billy Thorpe and The Aztecs at the Hinchinbrook SHire Hall in Ingham in the early 1970s. Man it was loud!

My passport expires next Oct so I thought I would save a few bucks and renew before the end of the year. Imagine my surprise to find the local post office closed :evil:

No wonder they are losing money. Attention Mr. Ahmed Fahour : How can you make a profit if your customers can't get in the door ? :evil::evil:

My husband's sense of direction only works under water.

He gets lost at Westfields.

We have a long history of not communicating well when driving in different countries/states.

Get in car.

Both agree we suck at this and we will try to be supportive and clear with directions.

We're arguing before we leave the car park.

We struggle in the city we live in. The wife's sense of direction is woeful.

Yesterday we took a drive to scope out some houses, with bub sleeping in the back.

I drove and she "navigated". She reckons my phone is too slow to update directions so she couldn't tell me where to turn.

I must be weird, but all I would do is find where I want to go on the map, and then work out the route in my head. Am I odd?

I had to keep my frustration in check due to the sleeping child... but it was a tough task.

It is very frustrating, however having a go at them will not change that, but just make the atmosphere difficult. I remember once I facetiously commented that the navigator preferably tell me about the turn off before we get there (not after I sail past on a winding treed single lane back road with few U turn opps). It was not not well received. He said it reminder him of his father's criticism. Too much to deal with on a holiday.

I google map every place I want to go to before we leave - so I have some idea where and how to get there :D

I am also reminded of my stepfather who had absolutely no sense of direction and found it hard to take directions, as lovely a man as he was. We could go around roundabouts two or three times with him all the time getting more stressed, and he'd still take the wrong turn off. When turning up late, my brother said to me you failed to plan. I said no, we planned and we planned but we still failed.

One for the golfers-Read in the local paper that a local 95 year old beat his age off the stick for the 105th time. Local course is Par 71 and 5866 metres. He also won a NTP on Par 3 that goes over a dam (hit to 5.18m)!
I was totally surprised to read an Americaan 95yr old has achieved the same feat 1,000 times Amateur golfer, 95, shoots his age or better for 1,000th time

Not weird. Some of us are better than others.

I know Sydney quite well. Most times I'll have a quick look at Google maps to refresh my mind the quickest way to get there. Occasionally I'll check directions as I am driving.

Today is post office picnic day, I expected them to be closed.

It's also my last nap day before work tomorrow. How can I go to work if I can't have an afternoon nap!
