CM vouchers regularly work on twin packs etc..just do a dummy purchase, click and collect and it discounts the purchase... you just have to try..worked plenty of times but cannot be guaranteed....YMMV

They also have other vintages available over the phone (I didn't ask if the price was different though) I think there were 2 or 3 more around the '05 - '07 but didn't take enough notice to remember exactly :oops:

But that's as a black market/secret deal.

What do they sell, unmasked, at 66% off? Nothing.

The Landhaus is supposed to be made from one of the best vineyards in the country, according to the marketing guff: https://www.mywineguy.com.au/products/2015-landhaus-single-vineyard-barossa-valley-shiraz

Sold through the Landhaus mailing list, I'd be p*ssed as a loyal direct buyer if I found out that I can now buy it through 3rd parties at 1/3 the cost. I suspect the wine isn't selling, or the winemaker's just destroyed the value of this wine

Do you mean owner, rather than winemaker?
 
Ok, got it. That also reminded me that buying something expensive from Boccaccio still makes sense if you have 2 Amex cards eg a single bottle usually ~$115 + $10 shipping could be had for ~$65....there's a few choices there and it's an alternative to getting 3 nice bottles from Langtons at spend $350, pay $200 if you only want one of something.

Thanks. The description on the back reads very similarly to the Thomas Yule, so it may be the same wine.
Any indication on the box that it was exported? Otherwise, if it's clean, then it may have never left the country - bonus.

I will check the box on Thursday when I am back home, from memory there were no export marks

I love the Heirloom Riseling too. My wine direct broker rang me up and offered me some at $15 a bottle recently, if you want more, perhaps give them a call!
 
And now for something completely different. I have always been a fan of the Langhorne Creek winery Lake Breeze. I have banged on about them thru the years after my discovery of them about 8 years ago when I won a footy bet on the last Afl round when the mighty Kangas rolled the Hawks and the prize was a twenty bucker red. The rest as they say is history. I won the shiraz/cab blend Bernnota made by Greg Follett, an amazing winemaker to say the least. I have stocked up on their vintages thru the years and have a few, but what twigged my interest again was the winning of the 2016 Winestate wine of the year by lake Breeze for the Cabernet blend Arthurs reserve 2012. Just placed an order with them for their 2014 Bernoota, 2014 cabernet and this AR 2012. It's a way of supporting the littler guys who I have to say do their stuff amazingly. Sure it gets 96 Jh, sure it's won winestate, sure it won countless trophies, but its a forty bucker which also interests me greatly. Limit 3 as you'd expect, but together with the Thorn Clark Shotfire Quartage from the Barossa, these wines offer supurb quality at a great price. I guess we all have these favourites where we are eager to try the upcoming vintage...and the one after that a year later.

I rang Cracka in relation to the Landhaus wine.. Rep confirms it is direct from the winery, the winery indicate the RRP, they have a limited number etc etc etc .

He did say that this wine was sold on the wine society website for +/- $35 not long ago... Take from that what you will..

I suspect the winery cannot move enough at the $55 mark..
