Short list for me:

Possibly the DC-10 or MD-11 when I was younger.

DC9 (on Cebu Pacific, when it was an upstart 12 yrs ago) is definitely my favourite. 1st row was empty so I just hopped in :) Was a fun ride.

I'm amazed you've not flown in a 777 jb. But I guess if you've had the same employer since leaving the military and that employer doesn't operate the type, I guess it's not entirely surprising.

The usual suspects plus a few of old ones which I don't think have had a mention yet:

Vickers Vanguard
de Havilland Comet
Caravelle

Flown many of those mentioned in posts, not the Concorde.

Flew few others worth identifying: DH Heron and BAC 1-11

At the risk of being pedantic I am changing the thread title from 'What planes have you flown in' to 'What aircraft have you flown in?'

Aviators refer to aircraft because planes are things that carpenters use.

*I'll post my list sometime soon but need some time to think it through.

B717-200
B737-400/700/800
B747-400
B757-200
B767-200/300/300ER
B777-200/200ER/300ER

A319
A320-200
A321
A330-200/300

F100
CRJ900
BAe146
MD80
E145
E170
E190
DHC-8-200/300/Q400
C206

And since the thread title has changed to aircraft, I'll add choppers too:
B206-JR/LR
B402
R44
AS350-A/B
EC-130
EC-135

And the EC's are the best by a substantial margin IMHO & YMMV.

It's plain to me you will have also considered rotary wing aircraft also to be added here...

The original title was potentially only missing an apostrophe - 'plane' short for 'aeroplane'. Unless they also meant helicopters and gliders etc?

Sat in the pilot seat of airworthy Lancaster (RAF BBMF) but didn't get off the ground - does that count?
Still get a tingle when I think about what those boys, most of them the age of my son, went through....

Can I ask - How did you find the A350 and which carrier were you with for it ? Considering it is the most modern aircraft I assume.

Understood and I was not trying to highjack to include helicopters.

There are aeroplanes, helicopters and aircraft (and a few other things). The first two are both forms of the third and planes are something different again.
