What if you don't like chilli? So there they have two options of "spicy slop"???
I wonder who the "idiot" is that is responsible?? Can't wait to give him a piece of my mind.....![]()
I actually love chilli. My point is the OP puts his penchants above everyone elses.
i must say that the overall offerings at the Qantas Lounges is much better than offerings in many other airline lounges - especially those US ones.
If you don't like chilli or curry then very few options. And no I am not a vegetarian. What if you don't like chilli? So there they have two options of "spicy slop"???

Not that difficult to have some sort of steak and provide chilli and curry on the side for those that want it.
The most flavoursome cuts of meat are the cheaper ones that take longer to cook.
Nothing like slow cooked meat that falls off the bone
I have to try and scrape the curry off the meat so I can eat a couple of pieces of meat in BNE on a Friday afternoon. The gunk that is left on the plate needs to be seen to be believed.Thats why curry was invented so cheaper cuts of protein could be used with the curry as an embellishment or masking agent.... Meat suitable to be used as a steak would be too expensive for a lounge. Even F lounge offerings use budget cuts.
Had some braised pork shoulder in the Wing First lounge a couple of days ago. The meat melted in my mouth before I had a chance to chew it. Delicious would be an understatement.Nothing like slow cooked meat that falls off the bone

The MEL QF J lounge was serving butter chicken with more pieces of potato than chicken! Cost cutting, much?
It was fairly full so I don't think there had been much picking.Possible someone picked off the good bits before you got there?
I pick out the grapes and watermelons in the fruit salads as I dislike pineapple
Strange way to spell 'rubber'?I had a very nice reuben sandwich there (MEL J) the other night. Was the plate of the day handed around early evening.

This time however i was travelling on Emirates so i was able to walk over to the Emirates lounge (an Arabic Airline) and found an amazing assortment of food (Chicken, Pork, Beef) - well done Emirates..
But they also have chips for your steak!Definitely wouldn't have been Pork on Emirates.....
