Doesn't hurt to try. With QF IT anything is possible ;)

Yep it was worth a try. No loss anyway, would have purchased regardless. It is the first time I've noticed Epiqure not bill as Qantas Freq Flyer (which was what the pre-auth actually said)

VM dozen was still cheaper than a half case of the same from eipQure then!

Yep, although there may be the matter of the 5000 bonus QFF points and the costs of postage to consider as well.

My view is that air miles are no substitute for cold hard cash, which is a currency whose buying power you have more control over.

Just took the plunge on D'Arenberg Ironstone Pressings 2012 - a good year, and a very good wine (96 points Wine Front and Huon Hooke). Can be had for $55 a bottle elsewhere (so a saving of $60 a case), but $60 extra for approx 16,500 points (when ccard earn factored in) plus free delivery seems reasonable :)

Just taken my first plunge on epiqure. 20,000 pts for a voyager Cab merlot 2008, Cape Mentelle Shiraz 2013, Dead Arm Shiraz 2012, and 3 decent fillers. Pretty happy with that.

Sounds like you picked up the icons mixed 6 ($140 with no bonus points as far as I can see on the website). How did you manage to score 20,000 points?
