ATO (tax office) payments by credit card

GE's Go Mastercard earns points for ATO payments. I paid 20,000 last month and received $20,000 points (no points cap it seems).
Gift card options for VA are as follows:

Points
$50 6,880
$100 13,130
$250 31,880
$500 63,130

So for 0.42% payment fee, you would spend $126 in fees to earn $250 worth of flights. Not bad just for shuffling money around, with no cap)
(+4.95 monthly card fee)

I don't think it's issued by GE anymore but the Coles Rewards MasterCard might still work - I've previously earned FlyBuys points on it (until I started using other cards - might have to fall back on it now until it's also enhanced). If you're collecting EY points, at 2 FlyBuys per dollar (0.8 EY) isn't bad for 0.42% fee depending on how much you value EY points. If you're using it for cash back at Checkout (2K points=$10), you're getting 1% value for 0.42% (not as good as pointy end flights but ok for shuffling $$ if you do it for enough value).

Today I finished our quarterlies so all that is left is the business monthly BAS and the SMSF which is a special situation. I thought I might get called by a bank or two but it all went smoothly. I did use 6 different cards and I remembered that ANZ has finished for good. Four cards were 0.42% and two were 1.45% and the 0.42% cards did get worked most.
Yes I chose to go early as we are heading east shortly and then overseas.

Lucky you can sandwich coming back to Australia between filing BAS.

It is just a game Pushka. You are correct about squeezing things in when you are back home.
Actually I have done some payments in Melbourne, Sydney, Los Angeles and London . I never use computers in airline lounges....that is a limit.

Shifty I am using BW Plat to get to 200k off a $12k credit limit at 0.75 per dollar earn rate. I keep reloading this little one. By the way the exchange rate in London was excellent so this is a card to keep.
QCU cc has just been reloaded and that has a $25k limit. Qudos to this new bank is what I am thinking.
Mrscove has cleaned up with her BW World cc.

QCU needed 3 months of every credit card....that took some time......

Did you have any accounts with them beforehand? I currently have their point saver account with more in it then the limit I want and was thinking of applying for the credit card, but a bit put of with the stories of the application process

My life is too short for that. I gave up this application due to the paperwork. My credit history is impeccable but just couldn't be bothered.
Exactly the same story here. Could not be bothered after submitting my tax assessment and then requested months of cc transactions together with a myriad of other documents. I gave up.

I think my QCU CC application was bigger than kpc's one purely because I have a couple more CCs. The card is a winner.
Many could not complete the credit application because they never did the course in tenacity where you never give up.
