how to know the identification of QANTAS aircraft i will fly ?

i would like to know which type of aircraft i will fly on between SYD and LAX as there are 2 configurations and there is one with the old first class seats .
If it is the old version that will be good .

You can only tell by looking at the seat map. They seem to be on SYD-LAX less than other routes.
While the First seat is nice if flying Business, the IFE is pretty old, and it's an angled business seat if you miss out on the first cabin

You'll either be on an A380 or a 744 however the old config 4 class 744 birds rarely do LAX. They seem to do QF25/26 SYD/HND vv, QF27/28 SYD/SCL vv & QF63/64 SYD/JNB vv.

I presume you're talking 747, as the A380s are all the same.

Yep, exactly!! Christopherc appears to be WP, so he should be able to select the F seats. But woe betide if you miss out. In any case, as per other posts, unlikely on his flight...
