What are your pet annoyances on Qantas?

Skybed droop can be cured by jamming something underneath it. Just ask the crew and they will usually bring one of the galley containers to jam under the seat. I've even had one crew member jam their own hard hand luggage under my seat. Very nice of them!

Yep, but still annoys me. That being said, I had one flight recently with no droop and I felt very spoilt!

All good and well, but it shouldnt be an issue in the first place...

You dont have to go via LHR now to get to the rest of Europe.

Ah understood however it does not apply for some destinations i.e. With Qantas it was to LHR backtracking to Berlin with BA.

However via Dubai you can skip it? No really there are no direct flights into Berlin. Unless one gets to Go via AbuDhabi ? Is that possible ? ..........

So that point in this case is mute. :D

For Mrs C and I it makes the difference between hitting WP or staying SG by going to LHR then to ZRH. "Why fly direct......." etc.
It's cost me ~$300 plus 4 hours extra flying to hit WP in July.

When i get the opportunity to fly J, the droop plays on my psyche before the flight.
When i don't, only getting one main meal on a very long sector. The truly awful hot dogs they served on a flight to Lax last year.
Hoping no one infamous is on the flight because the staff disappear fawning over them.

Interesting / curious that that happens fawning :D

For whatever reasons, people do not like to fly the kangaroo route via the Middle East. Forget the fact that it removes one stop, for whatever reasons they'd rather fly via SIN, BKK or HKG on their way to Europe.
This is AFF. People are flying around in circles to get SCs for this reason or SCs for that reason and they'd worry about backtracking via LHR when they go to Europe?

To each their own.

To each their own.

And we have those who prefer the convenience of a single stop over going via SIN and LHR to get somewhere. As you say each to their own...

Not arguing with you. Just think it was wrong for Qantas to put all their eggs in the one basket. Leave one option via SIN/HKG/BKK.

I think they stopped FRA, started DXB, and keep all other own-metal destinations. And improved their network immensely on a QF+EK basis. Little reason for a CEO to worry about transit preferences.

if an airline doesn't fly somewhere I want to go, instead of complaining about that airline, I fly on one that does.

I had the offer yesterday of doing a survey on QFF and how they would appreciate my feedback. I listed a lot of things that are mentioned in this thread, probably won't do any good, but anyway, ay least I tried!

As per the post below, I also included this. One thing I forgot to mention was the difficulty of doing a mixed class flight without having to phone them. Something for next time.
