One can also culture cheese with bacteria from under ones arms, but I have no desire to do either.:)

Yes this has been done and they make a unique cheese that for instance comes from a celebrities feet. The cheese is named after the particular aforementioned. This is done with wine as well. A famous person steps on grapes with his bear feet. This apparently starts of the fermentation process inoculating the entire Vat. The name of the wine becomes unique i.e. Shiraz actors name. yep ® thing to differentiate it from the rest and make € mo

There are celebrity bears? Haven't heard of any since Yogi retired. ;)

Happy New Year to all.

Currently I am in Perth at a sailing regatta, Perth usually has some wind still waiting for it to arrive.

It all got used up on New Year's Eve/Day.

There's probably another trainload coming across the Nullabour, but like Egg Nog and Mince pies at Coles on Christmas Eve, it won't be there when you want it!

Not sure what would be worse for your digestive tract; yoghurt two weeks beyond "best by", or one of the Qantaslink breakfast muffins regularly served PER-PHE a few years back, that had a best before date of mid-2018... the sort of chemicals used to keep a moist baked good edible for 3 years in a sealed package does not bear thinking about.

They may be stored frozen.

With Jamie Briggs getting sacked from the ministry, I noticed he got complimentary Qantas Chairman's Lounge membership and received at least 4 first upgrades.

I was looking for a list all federal politicians who received membership. Couldn't find a definitive list but apparently Malcolm Turnbull no CL.

Was looking at VIC MPs who received CL. Some lost it after losing government but then got free QC membership.

I know I know it's the applications fault it does not allow me to edit my post, having said that some of those celebrity feet are very bearish looking!! :D

Hvr never realised Yogi bear had retired I thought I saw him in yellow stone national park just the other day!!

Had a tub of yogurt with brekkie this morning. It was only when I had finished that I noticed the "Best before" date: 15th Dec 2015 . No, er, consequences.

(Yes, I know "best before" is not the same as "use by", but its still a pretty good outcome for a dairy product.)
I don't purchase items past the "use by" or "best before" date but I never look at that date once the product is at home. If it looks and smells OK then I do not throw the food away.

Still alive today.

In my experience many food items stay edible longer if refrigerated. Even bread way past Best Before date is ok.
