Actually drinking right now - small gift I bought Cruiserette on SR BIO-ZRH pre flt back to Oz July.

SQ served this J for quite a period a few years back - I really quite like it.

Note to Tommy, penegal, boomy - If you dudes ever hope to win a ladies heart and actually keep her - start with buying her Champagne - works wonders. I'll continually feed you guys some more helpful tips along the line and see if we can't get at least one of you over the line.

The Two Churches was a sub-$20 wine but punched well above that price-point IMHO. Interesting blend: a GSM + Tempranillo. Worked a treat. Lovely mouthfeel. Went beautifully with piri-piri chicken.

Moorilla is the winery at MONA near HBA. Nice wine. Mellowed fruit and soft mouthfeel. No back label, hence absence in second pic. Got the thumbs-up from PJM - as did the second half of the Two Churches that we cleaned up afterwards - before a night-cap Limoncello to help round out last night ;).

The Yabby Lake Block 6 was enigmatic. Restrained fruit almost to the point of flavourless but texturally excellent and soooo - almost too - easy to drink.

I decided to celebrate our 12 year wedding anniversary with Mrs MadMick by opening a bottle of the 2010 Moppity Reserve Shiraz. What an absolute ripper of a wine, cherry and dark berry, with some pepper and spice. Drank very well ... so much so that there was not much left in the decanter when I took the photo. Glad I have another 2 bottles of this wine to enjoy in a few years time.
 
Can't remember - Fo or Dans - I think I bought it maybe 6mths ago - mid 20s rings a bell - think it was Dans as I think I used Wish/CW - dunno.

Interesting Chardonnay from the Navarra.

And new a loverly Muga 2011. Rioja. Loverly drinking, very integrated, almost Pinot like.

2. The word is lovely...:).

3. What are you driving in Espana - an exciting 1.4L diesel SEAT as the Espana equivalent of the agricultural-enginned Jag in the UK :confused::p.

1. Even droller, if it exists. :) Plus should it not be 'no muy buena' since we are talking about a word (la palabra) which is feminine.

2. Loverly is autocorrect for nice.

3. Jag was good:) 60-85 mph was around 4s.;) no one kept up with us on the winding roads around Spey and on Skye. In Spain ordered a one series from Sixt and was dreading a Seat. Got an A class. Good for touring small towns, autopark, and comfortable at 140 on autopistas. Averaged around 5l/100km over 1100km for trip. Just over one tankful. Your beast would probably have had to have a tanker in tow? :):)

Liked La Rioja. Think I'll plan another trip but spend longer in the region next time. Brilliant scenery in October, almost better than Canada in Autumn. Some morning fogs added to the 'nice' mountains surrounding the valley.

ps: Wasn't I lucky n' wouldn't it be loverly?

My beast was pretty reasonable on fuel - I think the 2.2L diesel in the Jag is a Ford engine basically the same as used in my Ranger until Jag bring out their new motors soon. But I'm still not convinced a Jag with a diesel can really be called a Jag ;):p.

And wouldn't it be loverly: Lerner & Lowe: My Fair Lady - Wouldn't It Be Loverly? Lyrics | MetroLyrics :).

I was in San Sebastian/La Rioja region about four years ago. Very pleasant.
