Anyone finding the ambassador upgrades at intercontinental Melbourne becoming harder to come by? I feel like they would rather keep you in the same room and give you club access without even asking?

I've been considering signing up for IC Ambassadors so watching with interest.

I've not stayed there for about 8 months now but always got a room upgrade, never complimentary club access.

Always get a room upgrade there and not club access unless I have it included in room rate.

I always book an Executive room at the Melbourne IC and I usually get an upgrade to a Junior Suite with my Ambassador Status.

Except for last time over Easter Long Weekend, when they gave me a double upgrade to a Club Room with no Club Access. This ostensibly cancelled out the Upgrade since Executive rooms and Club Rooms are almost identical in floor space!

The only time i have had this happen is when i book a junior suite and they throw in club access but don't move rooms. Anything else is a room upgrade with no club access.
