Does AMEX still have it's own express lane? Handy if you have the right AMEX card.
Hi all - I have a question which I might as well tack on to this thread.....
I cant comment on the transit but I have 2 Sydney express passes if you (they) want them. Not sure if they are QF or SQ but happy to mail them but I can only mail Mon/Tue/Wed this week because Im off after that.
PM your address if you want me to mail them to you
cheers,
When do you need them? I have a spare or two I could send you.
Thanks Opusman, the express cards were extremely beneficial especially the inbound one. I am eternally grateful. 16 hours from DFW to SYD and 6 mins from bag collection to exit hall with a tired wife and toddler made all the difference. Thank you
I am finding the smart gate is always the fastest queue (observed over 5 trips during the last 3 months) when arriving - anyone else agree?
Absolutely.
The main problem at MEL however seems to be the location of the initial smartgate machines (the one where you scan the passport and answer questions). These are dotted down the main walkway and it appears people stop and use the first one they see... I've seen the line 5 or 10 people deep.
If you walk right to the end however, there's a bank of machines that are generally empty.
