When transiting at DXB do QF SG and WP have access to the Business and First security screening lanes?

I always use the Y lane when travelling in Y, but the other day I was in J and decided to use the F lane as a QF WP. Nobody said anything. So for my upcoming Y flight should I use the F lane?
Anything published about this? What are people here doing?

They have class separated security lines at DXB? Never noticed.
I once got through transit security there without a boarding pass for the connection...

Yes, at least at Terminal 3 concourses A/B the security screening points for connecting PAX have three different lanes for Y, J and F. Since the signs don't even mention EK status I wasn't sure if this is status based or only class of travel. A bit similar to BA with their "invitation only" signs...never sure when I'm invited!

DXB transit is a free for all. No-one checks who's going in what security lane IME. It's fairly efficient though and they do not check BP's. I lost mine on the aircraft on the way to LHR in March and got it re-printed at the transit desk.

Yes, indeed, the lines are designated by travel class. However, I've never seen them monitored - and, despite numerous transits there, have never seen a queue.
(That could have something to do with early exit from the incoming aircraft though!:))

Processing is usually very slick and the instruction is generally not to remove anything (liquids, laptops etc) from bags, which is a huge break.

On the last few transits, the clumsy interruption of the pre-boarding manual bag search has not been seen, which is even better. :)

This is a general problem with flying Emirates as QFF. It's not at all clear which lines you should be using.
I was recently checking in to an EK flight on a QF flight number - do I use the EK First/Platinum line, or the J line? I ended up going with J as it wasn't busy anyway.

The pre boarding bag search still exists at DXB.
3 times in the last month (whilst flying in F) I have been stopped just before the lift and had had to open the bag for the manual search.
Can't understand why as the Emirates F lounge is in a secure airside area with no openings to the outside world at all and this being on top of the arrival screening for all pax.

Your experience is in contrast to mine, as my last three transits have been free of the pre-boarding bag search. Not that it has ever been a serious search. It always seems a cursory and rather apologetic form of "going through the motions".

My most recent (search free) transit was this week.

I wonder if it depends on the Deparure gate? At least two of my recent onward flights have departed from the higher numbered gates. Previously, with the manual searches, departure has been from the lower numbered gates - but that may be totally irrelevant.

I think you may be right that it depends on the departure gate.
My last 2 flights out of DXB both left from Gate 1 (both on QF 10) and each time there was two separate boarding pass checks and then the bag search for all.

I have been through on QF 2 earlier this year with a higher gate number and no search!

The bag search may be a way of keeping the large number of staff occupied for a while, there seems to be one or two on every corner in the Emirates 1st lounge.

We should monitor the "Gate-Dependent Manual Bag Search" theory. :)
I won't be back there until late-ish next month but will see if it stacks up and try to remember to report back.
