Westpac Singapore KrisFlyer Credit Card

No new cards are being issued so the current card members are in exclusive territory is my interpretation.
So many churned their cards and now cannot rejoin.

Oh ok - I aint the sharpest pencil in the tin cove - I will still continue to use this card for ATO spend as I still need max KF pts - cost / pt goes from 0.0096c to 0.0117c does it not? Blended with all the zero cost / cheaper cost Citi pts it increases overall KF pts costs a small amount but certainly not a deal breaker for me - it's all about the averages - it's all about the averages.

CE I am impressed with 4 decimal places in your post.
As far as sharp pencils go I just hope the smart foods we fed our kids pays off.
My level of confidence is high that we are doing ok on Kris Miles using Citibank and these Westpac cards.
I am taking Mrscove to London for her birthday as she really loves the place. London is booming.

My mixed bag of free miles plus ATO miles averages out around half a cent over the last year so I am very happy with that. As to CE fudging the numbers I think we will work on that with a steak and a lot of red wine in Park Street after a footy match in MEL. It's my turn to pay.

I'll look forward to that - in fact I'll even give Sonia a call and tell her to stock up on the RWT cause we might give it a hammering that night.

If Freo ever win it I'll be expecting Grange too btw!

FTR - I think my ave KF pt cost ~$0.008 / 0.008c - I think the thinkers will work it out either way.

I will be there on grand final night as the Dockers are currently needing a trophy for their silverware cupboard.
RWT is ok but 707 is better than Grange and RWT but keep that a secret.
Funny thing is my brother lives in Park Street and has never been to meet Sonia. He has a Westpac Kris Flyer card to get to France and the UK.
We may do several games of AFL in Melbourne this year.

I meant that since it's no longer being made available to new customers do you think they will upgrade the Amex card with ExpressPay/NFC.

Yeah I got that in the end Liski - as I said I am no rocket scientist. I held this card since it's inception but cancelled it mid last year - as soon as I got a whiff of Black losing ATP pts earn I quickly re-applied and got a new one reissued so am probably lucky to still have it.

I've still got this card but isn't the Altitude Black a fairly good alternative (better earn rate!) with the current 60k, 0 annual fee for first year promo?

Yeah, well I am no longer in a position where I really care about getting the ATO spend, ie I've got a permanent job rather than being a contractor.
Thats a shame

As I have posted previously I still hold Black also and have it fee free next 2yrs - so I won't cancel but it can just sit in limbo and we will see how the waves crash over next year or so.

Black was fab until ATO earn lopped - but I am only interested in bountiful KF pts so the WSQ AMEX is prime AMEX card now - even at reduced earn. Of course others will have diff reqs and you might too burmans so YES Black might still be better option for those not trying to maximise KF pts earn with ATO pmts.

Lovely card for flying is what I am thinking. The drop in earn rate is now in force to 1.25 points for a cost of 1.45 cents less any tax deduction. So if you get 49% back the real cost can be as low as about 0.6cents per KF mile.
We are testing Suites to London this month.

I thought you had them well tested by now!

I may try to be an official tester. We are going over to LHR in Suites and coming back in First with SQ. You need to keep testing.....

Paid a large ATO bill 5 days before the end of March.
Westpac dated the payment as April 1. How convenient!
coughs.

Unlucky. 5 days does seem quite a long time. I did a payment on 28 March (with fingers crossed) and it posted on my WP account on 31 March.
