It is now just after midnight in Bolivia and about 16hrs before we leave. It's been fun but it's also time to leave. We have been taking it in turns for the last few days getting tummy bugs etc.

Fortunately Karen's Mamma and partner are doctors so there is no shortage of advice and help. Sue is currently the sick one with instructions that if she is not much better by the early hours we are to ring the nurse who will put her on a drip. Hopefully not an option that we need.
Tonight was a farewell at Mamma's with the highlight being shots of Agvardiente which is Colombian alcohol. (Literal translation 'hot water') It is just a LOT more potent than water though.

I love Bolivia, it will be one place I intend to return too.

How do you normally handle someone who has fainted as such?

Apart from catching them so they don't break a bone or something whilst collapsing.

As cartoons have lied to me many times, I assume the answer is not a splashing with ice cold water.

About to depart Kansas City airport.

It's a nice 14°F outside (-10°C), but that's warm competed to my first destination Minneapolis / St. Paul where it is currently -7°F (-22°C).

Not a busy airport and a flight to New York was canceled - to accommodate pax some flights were overbooked more than normal. Waiting near the podium I overheard that my flight was oversold by 13 - 10 minutes before boarding they offered $400 DL vouchers for volunteers who would travel later - there appeared to be no takers. As boarding was about to commence they upped the offer to $1300 - a queue rapidly formed.
