I wonder if they're going to say how many applications they received. It might make me feel better about missing out to know I had a 5% chance than a 50% chance.

So you get a yes or no? Still nothing so there is hope!

I may be away anyway, in which case we'll need to engineer some sort of AFF table and impersonator.

Well I can do a very good impression of a cynic.
Not sure how to impersonate a cynicor.

Geepers, didn't realise that it was easier to get a table at Bray!!!

So at least 24 people have saved $3000 per quadruple booking ... that's $72,000 saved ... that'll pay the +++ on a few award bookings ...

One is up for $3000 ... for four meal experiences ...

Lunch and Dinner seating for 42 each time ... - for six months, so in the order of 15,400 "Fat Duck" seatings over that time ...

In any case, if you still have the urge to splurge, the venue will remain open afterwards as "Dinner By Heston Blumenthal"...

No go for this little black duck either, obviously scarcer than hens teeth! Pun intended!

I got a rejected email

I then made Mr Katie check his email. I'd told him to enter as well, but he doesn't always listen to me. Though he is a foodie ...

AND HIS BALLOT WAS SUCCESSFUL!!!!!!!!!!!

Mid-week lunch time for four. We have to pre-pay for all four pax when they call to confirm. Wasn't quite in my budget with us heading to Europe in T-24 days for a month long family holiday ....

Nightly seating for 42 ... that's 21 double bookings per night - for six months, so in the order of 7,700 "Fat Duck" seatings ...

If I recall correctly, it's two seatings per day (lunch and dinner) Tuesday-Saturday, so that'd be ~260 meal times in total (by 42 people). I may be mis-remembering though. There's also the four person tables as well, which cuts down the number of bookings.
