Earth's Party Capital ...... Ibiza!!!

Amnesia is a 10 minute shuttle bus ride into the Ibiza Port. We find some greasy breakfast to soak up the last 5 hours of partying & drinking the morning away. Then back to our apartment for rest/sleep, tick. It doesn’t take long for the music to start – you see, at 11:00 sharp the music kicks in. With massive speakers just outside my room, it’s only logical to get up, head to the pool deck and get some sunshine. I was pretty smashed at that point but this is Ibiza, zero excuses, the fun must go on on party island.

What's this place like in late March? I'm heading to Norway for the total solar eclipse and might make a detour for a few days just because I can. Better start working on my 6-pack for those nights out dancing where the shirt comes off Ticket prices seems reasonable nothing worse when dancing to your fave tune and no room to move on the floor. Seems like you had a good VIP experience and more importantly the time of your life - that's what it's all about. Great travel report!

It’s always thirsty o’clock in Ibiza and spending the rest of the afternoon at uber-cool club Blue Marlin @ Cala Jondal is a must. Situated on the western side of Ibiza island, it offers a chilled out but relaxing vibe – totally great for people watching whilst (again) music is being mixed live by a DJ from a Moet & Chandon sponsored booth nearby. Blue Marlin has good music, good food, better drinks, and great space. Also, add that everyone is good looking here or uber-wealthy (we’ve heard of uber-rich Russians / Europeans / celebrities reserve the lounge area behind the DJ at 15,000 euros a pop), we’re neither good looking or wealthy but we’re here anyway.

I'm not writing Future Music Great time all round. I might try and find if I have any photos of Bora Bora Beach Club, they hold some trashy parties there on the beach and around sunset and into the evening.

I went to Ibiza two years ago – had an absolute ball. Went to Amnesia (twice) for La Troya (Closing Party) and Matinee, Space (twice) for Kehakuma and We Love Space (Closing), and Pacha for Defected (Closing). We had intended to go to Ushuaia for Luciano & Friends but didn’t realise it was a day-time thing so rocked up at 11pm only to be told it was almost closing! Amnesia was by far my favourite venue – Pacha was too heavily geared towards VIPs and the staff/club didn’t seem to care about anyone else.

We literally partied all day and then slept all night (on Day 2 I woke up at 5pm).

It’s the sort of thing I only needed to do once though.

Haha yeah, that's what I said in 2012 that I wouldn't be back .... and then I ended back there the following year.

Ushuaia is hot, I love the place. Now that have the Ushuaia Tower Club where you party on the rooftop. So I'll add it in this report somewhere.

Cheers, there's not much happening (party-wise) in late March. The party season doesn't start till June anyway. If you're after non-party things, Fromentera Island nearby is very nice to explore. VIP is the way to go (at least once). We ended up doing the regular ticket thing on all the other occasions and it didn't feel as fun. Being able to have a private area with lounge, an area where you got to see everything, and then if you wanted to go onto the main dance floor to party like everyone else, you could as well. If it got too hot or too messy on the dance floor, you could retreat to the VIP areas.

Good times Alanslegal, Ibiza is definitely on my list of places to visit before I get too old to enjoy this stuff
The video you took reminds me of a famous nightclub in Kiev I went to not long ago when it was still a vibrant city, although I'm sure not as fun atmosphere as Ibiza

Ive booked for next year already, cant wait!
Just fingers crossed some of my fav DJ's decide to drop in that weekend! if not im sure there will be someone I want to see anyway.
This in my last main stop for my euro trip next year. will be there early august thursday till sunday.

Was the VIP min number of people? or just a stock 250 each? I know entry can be upto 100 euro pp anyway, by the time you buy a few drinks VIP could work out cheaper...

1 tip I would give anyone considering a visit to Ibiza is to carefully pick a really good group of people to go with. I went with 2 very close mates and while we got along really well it was a bit dull and lonely at times with just the 3 of us. It's not like being at a club in Australia where you strike up a conversation with the person at the bar next to you while you're waiting for a drink and end up hanging out together all night - because everyone is from different places all over the world everyones speaking different languages so people are not nearly as likely to talk to strangers. I was there for 5 nights and did not meet a single person there. The only people who will talk to you on the streets are those trying to sell you something (drinks, tickets, or other stuff).

It would have been better having a big crew of 6+ like minded guys. If someone who doesnt really like clubbing comes along 'just because everyone else is going' I wouldn't encourage them to come - they're just going to drag everyone down if they disapprove of what the rest of the group is doing.

What really impressed be about Ibiza is how professional the clubbing industry is there. From the clubbing billboards on the highways to the branding outside each club that would magically change everyday, they really know what they're doing and do it extremely well.
