Of the couple I have tried in Melbourne, Beatbox Kitchen and Gumbo Kitchen are pretty good.

A few in ADL during the warmer (hotter?) months. Only tried a Mexican at the Wine and Wheels Epiqure event and was very impressed.

Another vote for Beatbox Kitchen here. I only have had Mr Burger once and I think they were having an off day when I ordered from them. I like Gumbo Kitchen as well but having been to the US I prefer what I get there. But it's nice to have that option. Likewise, with Taco Truck. I will put it this way - Beatbox Kitchen is probably the only one I seek out and crave!

I can't believe I have only gone to one food truck in the US. I definitely recommend it if you are in LA - Ricky's Fish Tacos. He also sells shrimp tacos. Soooo good!

Creole/Cajun food will always be better from the source, but as an option here, it's quite good.

Yes you are right and I do rate it. I like the Shrimp Po'boy there. But I find it difficult to eat - too much bread!

Now I just need someone to open a Texas BBQ truck and I'll be fatter and happier. :mrgreen:

LadyC, I tried the Chilly Billy and I still prefer the Raph. It is still tasty but the Raph has a certain umami taste that has me addicted. So yes, no surprises what I had for lunch today!
