Some of the IHG Staybridge properties in the USA have pancake or waffle makers which are equally acceptable in my book.
What I've noticed about some airport establishments in Australia is that they sell 'pancakes' which are really Golden pikelets you buy from Woollies or Coles. If you need a pancake fix at the airport & you don't have lounge access you can always go to Macca's or Hungry Jacks if it's within their breakfast timeframe.
