Probably lost in the change of programs commencing today as discussed in the other thread. Glad to see they are continuing despite the program going, although the loss of the BOGOs will hit hard.

Is that confirmed? I got the email but didn't read anything about BOGOs being ditched. Just read they were offering both dining and accommodation benefits. If BOGOs die, so will me paying the membership subscription, I'd imagine.

The dining program offers a free night, versus effectively a minimum two free nights under PP.

I wonder if it will be a paper certificate like PP and Amb or an electronic credit.

Perhaps they ( PP ) have 'learned' from ACCOR's program ... the stored comp. night on a chipped card thing.

I'm still seeing the ACCOR vouchers turn up on THAT auction site ... ( where the Member redeems their points for a $60. voucher etc. )

Has anyone 'found' any 2 for 1 offers for the July - August time frame ..i just did a quick look and some sydney properties are returning (as suggested above) PP offers ... i am most interested in the 2 for 1s ..if there are any

Agree. Have been a PP member for probably 5 yrs or so now. Have got loads of value during that time particularly as the BOGO and 25% certs not often collected at check in...

Which is what I was suggesting. No difference between one certificate or two.....if they are never collected. If IHG go to an electronic version, similar to Virgins lounge pass certificate which is not paper but a credit showing in the members on-line account, then it may prove a downgrade of the program.

Are the other remaining the same? (ie, 25% off, $50 credit, etc)

Just answered my own question by reading the other thread.....sorry for cross posting!

Could a mod perhaps move the relevant posts from here to the new thread perhaps?

I suspect the newsletters have gone the way of the dodo.

Given part of my re-signup spiel was about how there would be an increased guaranteed number of newsletter 2for1s (keep your certificate) that would seem like yet another breach of promise. I still have over 1/2 the time left. I might try arguing the point and see what they say...........or not.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

How do you know they are "in effect"?

do a 2 night stay search for Coogee, Canberra or Potts point or this one for Gold Coast...you can see the nightly rates are clearly 2 for 1 given how cheap they are.. I saw hi Potts point for 80$ some nights and cp Coogee for 104$ a night..normally it is close to twice that ..you can also see when you select to view the rates that it is PP refundable..if it is not in 'effect' ..on viewing the rate you will get a red X at the top... Let us know if you find any gems! the other irratating thing is we can't find any if the dining offers which were exclusive to the newsletter..

Broadly speaking, and without checking things exhaustively, the specials appear as per the last newsletter. Go through the PP reservations page, and try it out.

Thanks. Maybe they might stay like that!

Well the "7 days" they suggested they had until releasing the next newsletter is well and truly over ... thinking now Markis10's 'dodo' comment is inevitable. We can hack away to see hotel deals but the dining ones are no where to be found.

Hey where are you planning on going? If you get great hotel deals, I'm sure once there, the deals will keep coming

So can PP unilaterally remove a major benefit of the PP offering? I'm only 6 months through my membership year and I'd guess others have only just paid their renewals.
